Mechanism of Action
Cefixime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), preventing proper cell wall formation.
Indications
Maxpin-100 (Cefixime) 100mg/5mL is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:
Upper respiratory tract infections
