Mechanism of Action
Erythromycin works by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, inhibiting protein synthesis and preventing bacterial growth.
Indications
Erythocin Dry Syrup 200mg/5mL is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including:
Upper respiratory tract infections
Lower respiratory tract infections
Tonsillitis & pharyngitis
Skin and soft tissue infections
Otitis media
Whooping cough (pertussis)
Diphtheria (adjunct therapy)
