Benefits
Cefotaxime injection provides several therapeutic benefits:
Effective against a wide range of bacterial infections
Rapid bactericidal action
Useful in treating serious hospital-acquired infections
Helps prevent post-operative infections
Effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
Usage Instructions
Cefotaxime injection should be administered by a qualified healthcare professional.
It can be given through intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection.
The dosage and duration depend on the type and severity of infection.

Mechanism of Action
Cefotaxime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) in the bacterial cell wall, preventing the formation of peptidoglycan which is essential for bacterial cell wall strength. This leads to cell wall rupture and bacterial death, effectively eliminating infection-causing bacteria.
